She very likely has spent a considerable
amount of time applying a variety of
makeup products including:
lipstick or some kind of lip color and
lip liner, eye liner, shadow mascara,
eyebrow pencil, makeup foundation,
and powder blush.

This knowledge may be common for women in the Western World, but
it is very rare for men because they do not customarily buy and apply
these products.  As a consequence, men may not even be aware that
a woman is wearing makeup if it is applied skillfully.
