The term for a conscious, organized movement that attempts to revive or perpetuate selected aspects of an indigenous culture or to gain control of the direction and rate of culture change being forced on them.

millenarian movement (also known as messianic, nativistic, and revitalization movement)

The Cargo Cults and the Ghost Dance Movements are examples of this kind of movement that occurs in response to rapid acculturation.

The followers were disillusioned, alienated people who were desperately searching for a more meaningful world view. All three movements failed to achieve their prophesized goals and came to an abrupt end with mass suicide and murder.

The act or attempt to systematically destroy another people's ethnicity or culture. (Hint: the legalized "kidnapping" of Native American children so that they could be educated as Europeanized Canadians and Americans during the late 19th and early 20th centuries is an example of this.)
